All our leather bracelets comply with current regulations and laws, meeting the highest quality standards.
It sounds obvious when you put it like that, but it requires control and working with the right people.   First of all, each bracelet complies with the European RoHS directive, which stands for “Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment”.
Basically, the aim is to limit the use of hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
Complicated names for products you don’t want on your wrist.   But that’s not all!
They also comply with the European REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals).
In other words, the manufacture of our bracelets does its utmost to improve the protection of human health and the environment.
This regulation establishes a single system for the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemical substances in the European Union.

Our bracelets are also subject to leather standards:

  • IUF420 standard, testing the water repellency of leather (don’t bathe in it, it’s for everyday splashes).
  • NIHS standard 96-50, testing the resistance of wristband colors to ultraviolet light.
  • ISO 86-606 standard, testing the bracelet’s resistance to artificial sweat (and yes, humans also sweat from the wrist).
  • Standard NF G 52 301, testing leather’s resistance to wet and dry translational rubbing.
  • ISO 15700 standard, assessing the effect of a drop of water on the leather strap.
  • Standard NF EN 20105-A03, testing bracelet discoloration by immersion in demineralized water.
  • ISO 105-E03 standard, testing the resistance of leather to chlorinated water.

Finally, all our bracelets are :

  • Water-repellent: designed to resist accidental splashes, but not to be immersed in water.
  • Nickel-free for excellent skin tolerance.
  • Chrome-free to make the bracelet anti-allergic and environmentally friendly.
  • Non-allergenic, so that the bracelet is compatible with the skin.

Our bracelets are a bit like us, not perfect, but we do everything we can to make them so.
Now you know everything.
